Who Rents an Electric Wheelchair?
Recovery after surgery (2 to 6 months)
Knee, hip or spinal surgery. Rent for the recovery period and return it once walking again.
Stroke patients
Needs change month to month during physiotherapy. Rent first and convert to a purchase if recovery takes more than a year.
Stroke recovery guide →Umrah and Hajj (1 to 2 months)
The 11kg model is airline approved and its battery lasts a full day of tawaf and sa’i. Book 2 weeks ahead in peak season.
Umrah & Hajj wheelchair →Parents visiting from abroad or another state
Elderly relatives staying for a few weeks to a few months.
Trying before buying
Not sure the user will be comfortable? Rent for a month; if you buy afterwards, the rent is deducted from the price.
Long-term use without a large outlay
Many customers rent for years because maintenance and batteries stay our responsibility.

Rent or Buy: When Renting Is Better Value
The basic steel model rents for RM350 a month and sells for RM1,999, so after about 6 months the rent paid equals the purchase price. The 11kg model rents for RM900 against a RM5,100 purchase price, which is also a break-even of roughly 6 months.
Our rule of thumb: rent if you need it for under 6 months, buy if you need it for more than a year. In between, or if unsure, rent first and convert. The full analysis is in our rent vs buy article and the price guide.
